About Marcus

My journey into healing began after a positive major turning point in life. I began receiving and studying spiritual healing and then Reiki and  then decided to delve deeper in learning various aspects of anatomy, physiology, neuroscience, holistic and sports massage, acupuncture, naturopathy, rehabilitation therapy, personal training and more.

My interest in the human body then prompted me to work in MSK and Neuro physiotherapy departments for both NHS and private physiotherapy companies as well as Osteopath clinics. In fact, it was whilst working within a physiotherapy department that a senior physiotherapist said, “Your approach in treating patients is more osteopathic, you have to treat what’s on the referral sheet and nothing more” (such are the restrictions of the NHS).

This resulted in my gravitating towards Osteopathy due to its renowned ability to restore and improve the body’s health naturally. I started to study Osteopathy and its literally in my bones (forgive the pun). The way I have always looked at a patient is as a whole (mind, body, spirit) from head to toe, and this forms the principles of Osteopathy and Head to Toe Therapies.

My training involves practice in a London clinic where I have experienced the incredible effects of both structural and cranial Osteopathy. Such are the effects of cranial osteopathy that I continue to study Traditional Osteopathy (Biodynamics) to develop my experience treating both humans and horses.

One of my real passions is using my various and vast array of skills to help patients with health problems become better.

Having developed a mild lumbar ‘C’ curve scoliosis in my 50’s and suffering both hip and back pain (herniated discs) I felt compelled to develop my skills and started studying everything I could on scoliosis. Eventually I was drawn to the works of Christa Lehnert-Schroth and Hans-Rudolf Weiss who give valuable insight into their mothers (Katharina Scroth) 3D treatment methods for scoliosis.

I then found Ed Paget and his Scoliosis Correction Protocol™ methods and enrolled on his course for professionals. I am now able to offer the Scoliosis Correction Protocol™ and help people manage their scoliosis with specific exercises, breathing and lifestyle techniques.

I have continued to further my skills (2023) training in the Spiral Stabilization method by Dr Smisek who has successfully treated and prevented thousands of spine-related conditions including Scoliosis for over 20 years with his Spiral Stabilization method.

Spiral Stabilization is highly effective, curative and preventative. It is an extremely versatile method and it can therefore be used by anyone who wishes to improve their posture, treat back pain, prevent injuries, maintain good health and well-being or to improve sports conditioning.

Spiral Stabilization effectively and permanently treats spinal disorders and disorders in the main joints. More specifically, it treats back, neck, shoulder and hip pain, chronic pain, sciatica, disc herniation, scoliosis, lordosis, kyphosis, headaches, migraines, flat feet, hallux valgus, back pain in pregnancy and other conditions. It is a non-invasive and non-surgical treatment that achieves lasting results, especially for clients with disc herniation and scoliosis (great news for me).

Many of my patients have seen multiple professionals for ongoing health issues and chronic pain only to be told “there is nothing more that can be done” (A phrase I personally despise as I believe we should never give up hope). I believe Head to Toe Therapies has something to offer everyone! Yes, including you!! .

Beyond Head-to-Toe Therapies, I enjoy reading, walks in woodlands connecting with nature and horses, going to the theatre and exploring coastlines with my partner Sonia. I like to keep fit with both functional movement routines, Ropeflow, and circuit sessions or trying my luck at surfing.

How Can Marcus Help You?

Having worked for many years in healthcare as a therapist and rehabilitation specialist, Marcus has seen people with all sorts of health conditions and injuries. He knows what pain and frustration they are going through. This experience means that Marcus has most likely seen people in a similar situation to you now, in pain, physical discomfort or suffering chronic health conditions.

Marcus has worked with both newborn babies from 3 weeks old to the more mature patient and every age in between with various health problems, chronic inflammatory conditions, and injuries. Hence, Marcus sees how these things can affect people in their daily lives and how pain can restrict their quality of life.
